Fill out the TEACHER APPLICATION FORM, check to make sure it is complete, and then submit it electronically to the secure server. The deadline for submitting an application for HUST 2013 is Monday, February 11, 2013. The application form is required of all teachers, including those who have taught with TFF before.
If your application is accepted, you will be contacted about signing up on our website for a date and time to be interviewed by one or more members of TFF's Board of Directors. If you are in the Tucson area, interviews will be in person; otherwise, you will be interviewed via Skype if possible and, if not, by phone.
On completion of all interviews, TFF will submit its recommendations to HUST or other host institution. It is, however, the prerogative of the host institution to make the final decisions. We often have more qualified applicants than the number of places available. Our aim is to include a mix of those teachers who are new to our program as well as those who have previously taught with TFF.
TFF will let applicants know whether or not they have been accepted as soon as possible. For HUST 2013, we hope to be able to notify applicants of their status by April 15.
Once you are accepted, TFF will send you information on such matters as the VISA PROCESS, payment of administrative fee, travel dates, tours, teaching partners, and so on. It is the responsibility of accepted teachers to frequently check this website for NEWS and CALENDAR updates
TFF board members and other experienced TFF teachers will provide training and mentoring for all accepted applicants and will be available to address any questions or concerns. Accepted applicants will receive a flash drive containing TFF's extensive training guide, "Join the Conversation: A Teacher Resource Guide."
